NEW FOR SALE | April 2025
In April 2025, the Dutch yacht sales market saw the introduction of 7 new yachts for sale, 4 motor yachts and 3 sailing yachts.
The largest and highest priced Dutch-built yacht amongst the new listings was the 77.8m motor yacht ENERGY built by Amels and asking €199.000.000. She returned to the market this month after being withdrawn from the market 4 months earlier.
On the other end of the spectrum, the 21m Van den Hoven motor yacht CHIHUAHUA was the shortest new listing with an asking of €1.985.000. The least expensive yacht was the 24m sailing yacht ESMERALDA built by Kempers with an asking price of €749.950.
The largest sailing yacht listed for sale this month is the 62m ATHOS built by Holland Jachtbouw and asking €43.000.000.
From the 7 Dutch-built yachts that came to the market in April, 1 yacht had a lengthbetween 18 and 24 meters, 3 yachts between 24 and 30 meters, 1 yacht between 40 and 50 meters, 1 yacht between 60 and 70 meters, and 1 yacht larger than 70 meters.
When we compare this month to last month’s numbers, we see that the amount of new listings saw a significant decrease of 61,1%. Compared to April last year, the amount of yachts entering the market has stayed the same.
SOLD | April 2025
In April 2025, a total of 5 Dutch-built yachts were sold, all motor yachts. Compared to March the amount of sales saw a decrease of 37,5%.
The largest yacht sold this month was the 59m Damen Yachting OMNIA. She was sold after being on the market for 545 days with a last asking price of €23.000.000, and had received no price reductions during her time for sale. The second most expensive yacht sold was the 55.3m Damen Yachting yacht support vessel SHADOW. She was sold after 420 days on the market. During that period she had received 2 price reductions and her final asking price was 88,7% of its original asking price of €15.500.000.
The shortest and one of the least expensive yachts sold in April was the 18.6m motor yacht DUCHESS built by Van der Valk Shipyard. She was sold after 330 days on the market after entering the market in May 2024 with an asking price of €615.000. During her time for sale, she had received 2 price reductions of in total 11,4%.
The yacht that was offered for sale the longest in April was the 34.04m Moonen Yachts motor yacht MIDNIGHT SAGA. She first entered the market in February 2020 with an initial asking price of €14.300.000. She was sold after 1906days, a little over 5 years, on the market. During her time for sale she received 3 price increases and 2 price reductions and her final asking price was 94,4% of her first asking price.
On average, the yachts sold in April were on the market for 758 days and still had a value of 88% of their first asking price. Compared to April 2024, we can see a decrease of 44,4% in yachts being sold.
PRICE CHANGES | April 2025
Last month 25 Dutch-built yacht listings received a price change, 19 motor yachts and 6 sailing yachts. Compared to March we see a decrease of 19,4% in price changes. Looking back at last year, there was an increase of 25% in price changes in April 2025.
The highest priced and the largest yacht that received a price change this month was the 60m Amels MOONSTONE. The motor yacht is currently asking $69.900.000, after receiving a currency and price change this month which was equal to a price reduction of approximately €3.000.000 (4,6%). This is her third price change since she entered the market in February 2024.
One of the largest price reductions this month has been for the 38.39m Oceanco motor yacht DREAM RIDER. She is on the market since January 2025, starting with an asking price of $2.800.000, and has received a price reduction this month of $900.000 (32,1%).
The largest sailing yacht receiving a price reduction this month was the 42.36m CYLCOS III, built by Royal Huisman. The sailing yacht is currently asking €3.500.000, after receiving a €750.000 (17,6%), price reduction earlier this month. CYLCOS III has been listed for sale 450 days, since February 2024.
On average, the yachts had a price change of -10,8% this month and received their first price reduction after 555 days on the market. The 28.1m motor yacht HEARTBEAT OF LIFE, built by Heesen in 1989, has received a total of 6 price changes since she entered the market in July 2019. Her first price change was an increase of €30.000 (3,2%) in November 2021, followed by another increase of €120.000 (12,2%) 2 months later. After the 3 price reductions that followed, she received a fourth price reduction of €59.000 (6,9%) earlier this month.
CURRENTLY FOR SALE | May 2025
On the first of May, the Dutch-built yacht market boasts 348 vessels for sale, of which 258 motor yachts and 90 sailing yachts.
Out of 1223 Dutch-built motor yachts over 18m in our database, 21,1% are currently offered for sale, and out of 419 sailing yachts, 21,5% are currently available for purchase.
Currently the largest motor yacht available on the market is the 118.8m Feadship BREAKTHROUGH. This vessel has been listed for sale for 358 days with an asking price on request.
One of the largest sailing yachts available for purchase is the 58.15m Royal Huisman NGONI. Her asking price is €38.500.000 and she has been listed for sale since January 2023.
At the other end of the spectrum, one of the smallest available yachts is the 18.12m sailing yacht ZACA, after a design by Olivier van Meer. ZACA is currently being offered for sale with an asking price of €750.000, and has been listed for sale since July 2021.
This month in numbers
After the significant increase in the overall Dutch-built market activity of last month, we can see an overall decrease in April. The amount of yachts entering the market, yacht sales and price changes all decreased in number. Compared to 2024, only the amount of price changes saw an increase, but the amount of yachts entering the market was the same and the amount of sales have decreased.
