Vitters Shipyard signs new contract for 63m sailing yacht PROJECT DREAMER

Vitters Shipyard, established in Zwartsluis, has recently signed a contract for the construction of  sailing yacht PROJECT DREAMER. This 63-meter-long aluminum yacht, featuring a flybridge, will be designed by Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design and will feature an interior design by M2 Atelier. The delivery of this project is scheduled for the summer of 2028.

It is not the first time that Vitters Shipyard has collaborated with these two design studios. Several projects have previously left the yard in Zwartsluis, realized by both Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design and M2 Atelier.

The client's wishes for PROJECT DREAMER were to create the largest possible yacht within the 500GT volume limits, achieving the ultimate combination of speed and comfort, resulting in the ultimate mix of luxury, elegance, and sustainability.

The modern hull shape features a gently sloping incline toward the stern. A midship lazarette is located halfway along the hull on the port side; this "garage" is intended for storing diving equipment, paddle boards, seabobs, and more, and is accessible both from the deck and via a fold-down platform in the hull. This platform is also suitable for mooring the tender alongside the yacht. The flybridge extends across the entire superstructure of PROJECT DREAMER, offering ample space for dining or lounging with guests.

The modern interior, after a design by M2 Atelier, based in Milan, will feature many flowing lines and organic shapes. Carefully selected materials, soft textures, and natural tones will create a warm and pleasant atmosphere on board. Moreover, PROJECT DREAMER will feature state-of-the-art equipment and luxurious amenities, creating an unparalleled luxury yacht experience and setting a new benchmark for Dutch-built superyacht construction, innovation, and luxury.

Bas Peute, Sales and Marketing Manager at Vitters Shipyard, states that the aluminum construction of both the hull and the deck will be carried out by the yard’s own in-house hull construction team. The build is set to commence this summer.

During the construction of PROJECT DREAMER, the owner will be represented by Greg Monks of Monks Large Yacht Consultancy. Greg is a familiar face at the Zwartsluis yard, having previously served as the captain of the award-winning yacht SARISSA, delivered in 2011.
