Damen Yachting has announced the launch of the first Amels 80, the latest addition to the highly successful Amels Limited Editions range. This launch marks the debut of a groundbreaking superyacht design, redefining the future of luxury yachting. A vision by the industry's best
The build of this first Amels 80 has been managed by Burgess on behalf of the Owner following her sale in 2022, just six months after the introduction of the new Amels 80 design. PROJECT 8001 was built after an exterior design by Espen Oeino International and naval architecture by Damen Yachting. Her equipment on board facilitates a cruising speed of 12 knots and a top speed of 16 knots. Moreover, PROJECT 8001 will boast a cruising range of 5000 Nautical miles, and she is equipped to combine relaxed cruising and serious sailing in abundant weather conditions by safeguarding both simple handling and easy maneuvering.
Her brand-new and unimaginably luxurious interior, after a design by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, can accommodate up to 14 guests across 7 capacious staterooms, with 10 additional cabins for use as preferred. Her interior is a sanctuary of calm refinement. It features fluid transitions between spaces, natural materials have been championed, and a soft, neutral palette encases the occupants in the highest levels of luxury. Crafted for the journey
The Amels 80 has a gross tonnage of 2,175 GT and accommodates 14 guests, supported by a crew of 21. The design features a foredeck helipad, 200-square-metre Sun Deck, private Owner’s Deck, 6.5-metre swimming pool, and a spacious Beach Club, complete with spa, sauna, gym, hammam, and massage room, underscoring the focus on wellness and relaxation. She has been built to venture across oceans, inspire generations, and withstand the tests of time.
